Growing up....

Last weekend I was "growing up" by finally graduating university.  My mom and grandma sat in the audience at the National Arts Center for two hours to hear my name be called as a graduate for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program from the University of Ottawa and to watch me walk across the stage, shake hands with the Chancellor or the school (didn't know we even had one of those) and then shake hands with the President of the University, and walk off.  It was nice to finally be done and I'm happy that my mom now knows how to text so that we were able to text each other throughout the entire ceremony, but the best part of the day was lunch where my sister and her boyfriend Tony came as well as dinner where my brother and Jessica showed up.  It was really good to see my mom and grandma again since it's been awhile and I'm still not sure when I'll be back home next to see them.

Dancing with Betty

This is me trying to teach Angelique's mom how to grind and dance slutty! Hahaha I don't think she gets the point of slutty lol. I love Ange's parents! They're ridiculous! For some reason they make me promise to take care of her on any trips we've been on together. As if! If Ange is getting in shit or trouble, I'm either right there with her or leading the way! Haha. Not to mention Ange is like a bull and I'm no matador, I can't control that beast if I wanted to! Ange's mom even got me a high school grad present just before we left for Dominican on our grad trip; it was a small book that she uses to teach her special ed students and it's called "The Cycle of the Dandelion". Hahahaha. Ya, until the end of high school, I didn't know that the yellow dandelions and the white fluffy dandelions were the same species! lol. [Insert insulting comment from everyone reading this here.] Although, I keep using my defence is that I'm not the only one who thinks this! Jo (not the best example I know lol) also didn't know this! But I mean seriously....has anyone actually SEEN the yellow dandelion turn into the white fluffy ones?! Maybe you're all wrong and the yellow ones die and that triggers the white ones to pop up? Just putting it out there.

Nursing Grad Formal

Our nursing grad formal was at the beginning of April and it was a ridiculous night! Not gunna lie...I really didn't want to go to it; however, it ended up being tons of fun.....I think. haha. Emilie and I dressed to be tacky to make the night more fun and we drank lots before going to the event.......to make the night more fun! lol. We pre-drank at Laurice's while we got ready. Caro gave us a ride to the formal (I didn't even know where the event was until 3 days later...That drunk! lol). The food was really good, the decor was lacking, but I think I WAS the dance floor! After the formal we went back to Laurice's, and I think we drank and chilled. Then we tried to go to the bar Heaven but it was closed so I got us to go to The Honest Lawyer. There I somehow had multiple drinks on the go at once (without spending a dollar). Meanwhile Emilie was off beating the entire bar at air hockey! At some point we left that bar to try and get into another, although I'm told that this was my fault and it was 1:50am so clearly we didn't get in. haha. Then I was at McDonald's and met friends there randomly and apparently made a new one (as I found out via facebook when I RE-met this friend lol). I even apparently almost got in a fight with a drunken Irish guy to "protect" this new friend of mine (God I'm nice!). From there....I ended up home? Woke up naked, on top of my bedding and my formal clothes were all folded neatly on my chair. How considerate drunken me was! lol. All in all.....it was a fun night!
